We have added an automatic language-translator to HarmonySite, for no extra charge. It looks like this...
If you click a language, then the current page (and all future pages you visit in your HarmonySite) are instantly and automatically translated into your selected language. It's not done using AI, but by a translation service that we pay to do this for you.
Who sees this new language selector?
This new feature will NOT be shown for HarmonySites in the USA, the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, etc - because they don't need it - because they speak English natively. It is enabled for everyone else.
If you're in the French-speaking part of CANADA, and your members prefer to speak French-Canadian, then please email us, and we can manually enable this for your HarmonySite. Note that there's no "French-Canadian" language option available, only "French".
Furthermore, this new feature is only available to people that are LOGGED IN. There's a good reason for this: Money. The translation service we use is not cheap, and they charge for EVERY visit to any page in the site - even when they don't translate anything. We're not passing this fee on to you. So it would be much more expensive for us if we made this available to every visitor to your site, because 10 times the number of translations would be needed. As you may know, every word on every public-facing page in your HarmonySite is already changeable BY YOU, so you can adjust the language/wording of all public-facing pages however you want. But your MEMBERS AREA is in English only. So we offer this language-selector to logged-in members as a way to make up for that English-only limitation.
Notes
- I don't speak any language other than English (and several programming languages), so I have no idea if the translations are any good or not. I will need to rely on your feedback here. So please let me know if the translations are not useful.
- This will only work in your WEBSITE. It will NOT work in the App. Nor in emails sent from the website.
- If there's a language you'd like to see, but it's not in the list, please let me know. It should be easy to add.
- If you're in an English-speaking country but would still like to have this language-translator added to your HarmonySite anyway, please let me know and I can enable it. Please provide a good reason - as I said, it's expensive for us.
